After my recent previous post on recalls just days later the FDA has recalled 4 additional colours, all Starbrite with the reason for the recalls being ‘Tattoo ink contaminated with bacteria (Clostridium spp., Bacillus cereus, Streptococcus sanguinis, and Streptococcus alactolyticus)’.
The colours are :
Deep Blue
Country Blue
Deep Green
Bright White
Lot and batch numbers can be viewed on the FDA’s page :
https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/ires/?Event=91954
I’ve made this ‘mini’ post because Starbrite is a longstanding ink brand and no doubt has quite a few people using it. If you use any of the above inks please check your lot and batch numbers and act accordingly.
Safe tattooing all
